Sponsors and Sponsorship

Why it is important that I sponsor HAGR STEM Club?

Our STEM club changes lives. We have found that participation in STEM can engage disaffected pupils, can inspire the imagination, can give an outlet to inspiring ideas, give life skills and inspire in the STEM disciplines. STEM is very worthwhile.

Unfortunately for schools there is not direct funding for STEM, this is where sponsors play a vital role in STEM. Sponsorship can be in many forms from financial (grants, offers of discounts on materials etc) to advice or other practical help (machining parts, CNC use etc.), all are welcome.

What do I and my company get out of it?

Apart from our thanks and the personal satisfaction of helping children to succeed, we offer (over the two days of competition at the National Big Bang Fair, we saw over 25000  people attend per day!) to publish on our site, on all the posters concerning the particular project that you have sponsored, and on the project itself (if practical) your company name and logo, should you wish.

How can I help?

All of our projects have been brought to a point at which they work, but there is always more to be done, so although the project has been completed for certain competitions, the STEM club members have a strong desire to 'finish the job' such that each project is brought to a level at which we consider it complete. This requires funding, and we welcome donations aimed at a specific past project as well as our current one.

If you would like to help us inspire pupils in the STEM disciplines, or find out more about Harris Academy Greenwich STEM club, please contact Mr. K. Jones by email at k.jones@harrisgreenwich.org.uk
